I’ve read 7 books in 8 days??

hello bloggers and the world beyond!

I really enjoyed interaction on my last post, and I realised how much I missed you guys.

so, I’m going to *maybe* start blogging again. tbh, I’m being really moody, this time tomorrow I’ll probably be writing an exam but WHO CARES.

I haven’t done a bookish post in quieteee some while, and I was into reading all of a sudden.

like, I became a newbie reader, I just read between study breaks instead of insta-ing. honestly? it felt really really good.

In today’s post I’ll be talking about the very very *recents* that I’ve read, I’ve actually been reading a LOT, but this post is only for the previous week.

let’s scroll along!

#1 Under One Roof by Ali Hazelwood

This book was a novella, and really really cute!! It existed as an audiobook, but thankfully, Ali decided to publish it. I think this book set the course for my frantic reading. It was short, cute and fluffy, PERFECT for exams. Not like a book being imperfect for exams is going to stop me from reading it. *shrugs*

#2 A week to be wicked by Tessa Dare

I am not going to put a cover up here because it is not appropriate. This book, is age restricted and I DO NOT want you to even look at it if you’re under fifteen. It was a good book, dragged in some places, but it had bridgerton vibes which was really cool.

#3 With and without you by Emily Wibberly and Austin Seigemund-Broka

Ah. When my favorite author couple duo released a book, I had to read it! Frankly, I was so obsessed with this book after reading! I mentioned the authors so many time, they probably got annoyed ZD. But really, this one’s good. It has previous book cameos, independence, and long distance relationship issues. It was SUCH a refreshing read. I even have a ‘thoughts while reading’ reel on my insta which you can check out here.

#4 Mr Wrong Number by Lynn Painter

Awwwwwww, this was such a cutesy book for real. Like, I think this somehow inspired the form in which my poem was written? Great banter, even greater *romance* and I adore Colin seriously. READ IT FOR THE BANTER! READ IT FOR ESCAPING FROM REALITY OF EXAMS! READ IT TO MOTIVATE YOU IN THIS SCORCHING HEAT! motivate? more like ‘i’ll be lazy and sit drinking tea-vait’ .

#5 Kisses and Croissants by Anne-Sophie Jouhanneau

Definitely had fluff. I loved how motivated the protagonist was throughout the book. Unlike usual fluffy books, I cared for the characters, and the ending took me by shock. But it was a good one. Not too serious, not too time consuming, just a cutesy romance to calm down your exam nerves. *winks*

#6 The Noh Family by Grace K Shim

saw this one on penguin teen’s instagram story and the cover instantly pulled me in. To be honest, I was disappointed by this book, I wanted scheming and family drama instead what I got was downright disgusting. I rated it high because the way the plot was carried was good, and it’s not the author’s fault I had different expectations right? Reminded me of princess diaries and crazy rich Asians. Now that I think of it, it might actually be a blend of those two, with a disgusting plot twist involved. Also???? no romance??? like, I don’t think it was fair to give so many hints and building up all that for nothing.

But I definitely LOVE the cover.

#7 A touch of darkness by Scarlett St. Clair

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!!! It was exactly what I imagined it to be. A dark and sensuous tale of Hades and Persephone!! I didn’t quite understand the world building, but it’s not like I care XD. I really really loved the plot, the characters and the whole aura of this book. Again, not recommended for younger readers (below 15). But I LOVED IT. Can’t wait to start the sequel after tomorrow’s exam!!

so now you guys get what I meant by ‘I’m reading more during exams’? XD. I hope you enjoyed this post. I had fun writing it and it definitely didn’t feel like a chore. I guess a blogging break was a good idea.

see you soon!!

      2. That’s because you only watch dumb movies try watching something GOOD (something which doesn’t have an IMDB rating of 3 and has the ‘romance’ genre)

      3. or try reading which requires you to have a working imagination. and you know the best part? nobody dictates how the character or the world should look like.
