Christmasphere 2021

Christmasphere Day 6| A Christmassy Poem

Clad in sweaters and shawls,
Tiny hands in mittens,
Big smiles on faces,
Hand in hand they walk.

Past the sadness,
Past the grief,
They walk in silence ,
Eyes sparkling in mischief

I stand there in awe,
Their smiles lit aglow,
When a little girl grabs my hand,
‘Join us, it’s Christmas’ she said.

Trudging along the white sand,
Hand held, with a new friend,
Snow angels, they don’t miss us
As a child again,
I rediscovered Christmas.

And here’s one post I knew I wanted to do as soon as I decided to do ‘Christmasphere 2021’. I came up with this poem in under 3 minutes, but no, I didn’t rush it. I love this one for it’s simplicity. I don’t know. Tell me what you thought about it in the comments below!
